I guess if you're on this page it's because you have some good things to share with me... 

Please let me share a few of my thoughts on email.  It is very useful to have more than one email address since it happens at times for some reason or another that we can't have access to the email service.  Yahoo has been very useful and it works just great with Outlook Express (I don't know about Outlook) as you can synchronize your address book with your account using a software called Intellisync.  It may be hard to find but if you make a search with Google, I'm sure you'll find it quickly.  Yahoo is no longer my prefered  service since you must now pay for the "pop" service.  Hotmail also offers the possibility to synchronize your addressbook with Outlook Express but doesn't seem to be as reliable.  It is also useful to synchronize your email accounts which allows you to recuperate your data in the eventuality that your PC happens to crash.

Yahoo offers 6 megs of space to store your messsages where as Hotmail only allows 2 megs.  Both of them offer the possibility of an antivirus check. There would be other things to compare between these two services but I believe Yahoo to be the most performing.

Fastmail is a new service that promises to be great competition to Yahoo and Hotmail.

After trying about 30 free mail services I believe these to be the best available (for now!).
